Mission Statement
InstantHawaii is a site devoted to conveying the love, awe and wonder inspired by the Big Island. Our primary goal is to provide as much information about the Big Island, hikes, trails, drives, plants, and animals as we possibly can.
There are many sites providing bits and pieces about the Islands of Hawai'i, but up till now there has been no one place for visitors and Kama'aina to access the broad spectrum of information specifically about the Big Island.
By definition, the Big Island is Big - and thus this site is a work-in-progress. Each week, as we hike and enjoy the island we will add our experiences and knowledge to this site. Obviously, we foresee this site growing quite a bit over the next year as we add more information. This site is also set up to benefit Big Island companies by providing a place to advertise their business on the web and a place for you to view their products and services.

This site is absolutely free for you to use. To access information in this site; click on the main links in the sidebar on the right side of all pages.
Portions of this site update automatically throughout the day: for example, the Current Weather and Local News page are updated every half hour, 24 hours a day.
Who Are We?
The InstantHawaii website is developed, operated and funded by Cookware, Inc. Cookware was founded in 1982 to help organizations fulfill their computer software and networking needs. Cookware opened its Pacific Rim office located in Kea'au on the Big Island in 1998.
Cookware Inc. provides the servers and bandwidth that support InstantHawaii. We also provide server space and bandwidth to companies who would like their website designed and hosted with us. Among the many benefits we provide, our clients enjoy free advertising on InstantHawaii.
InstantHawaii is, in part, a sponsor funded site. The companies in the banner ads at the top of each page are Hawai'i based companies that provide local services for you.
